Smoking is a worldwide epidemic caused by the addictive properties of nicotine. With lung cancer running rampant throughout our world, and with cigarettes being labeled as a primary cause for this epidemic disease, it would seem logical that most people that smoke would try to find a way to stop smoking as soon as possible to protect not only their health but their lives. Sadly, the ability to stop smoking is very hard and there are a few tips that can help nearly anyone start to eliminate the craving for cigarettes and the nicotine that holds them hostage every day of their lives.
The first tip is to make sure that you sit down in a quiet room and think about your life. think about your life as it is now and how cigarettes affect your life. Whether it is monetary or a social aspect of your life, right down how being addicted to cigarettes smoking has affected your life in a bad way. by visualizing this in your mind as you write it, it will make your habit very real to you in a very negative way and will in some way inspire you to perhaps make a change and stop smoking. it will not be enough to allow you to kick this lethal habit. that is why we must now go to the next tip.
The second tip is to sit down once again and visualize how your life would be if you quit smoking today and how it would affect your life in the future. you may note things such as having more money, not being as irritable and you have been when you do not have a cigarette nearby, and any number of other positive aspects that would help your life become a better and more balanced situation. think about how your secondhand smoke will no longer affect your like ones in your house or the people that you work with or the friends that you hang out with. Imagine being able to breathe deeper breaths and the different smells as you would be able to smell without smoke inhibiting their natural scent. Write all of this down and go on to tip number three.
The third tip is to give your self affirmations to say each day when you wake up, during the day, and before you go to bed. they could be simple affirmations such as “I despise smoking” or “I am so glad that I quit smoking” and say these things to yourself if you times in the morning, during the day, and before you go to bed. doing this starts to make a subroutine or a habit within your mind that allows your subconscious to help you start manifesting the life that you actually want it is a life that is free of this nicotine habit.
The fourth tip is to remove anything in your possession that will remind you of what a cigarette is. now this may be next to impossible in your daily life outside of your home. you can’t remove all of the cigarette vending machines or billboards or pictures in magazines or actors in movies that are smoking. Simply do your best eliminate things associated with cigarette smoking from your household so that while you are there you are not reminded of smoking at all.
The fifth tip is to get a subliminal tape and play it at night, something that is related stop smoking. this may seem weird but by hearing it over and over at night, the subconscious mind will allow you to find a way to stop smoking in your waking reality. this has worked on thousands of people without the use of the nicotine patch or any other physical fix. The power of the mind is very strong and can be used to overcome the addiction to nicotine and help you to stop smoking.
