Cancer is a word that scares even the most courageous of people. Mesothelioma is a form of cancer associated with exposure to asbestos and, fortunately, rare. in this article we take a look at the tests used for diagnosis. P> unless you like reading Grey’s Anatomy, you’re probably not aware of the importance of the name of this cancer. Mesothelioma is a cancer refers to mesothelium. Huh? The mesothelium is a membrane that surrounds the thoracic and abdominal organs. It is a lubricant in the membrane that allows organs to go without injury. Mesothelioma is a cancerous tumor in the lining. P> Testing of mesothelioma is hard. The cancer can take 15-40 years to manifest after exposure to asbestos. The preliminary test is only the chest radiograph that you get with your annual review. Radiography may reveal abnormal growths. This proves conclusively that rarely mesothelioma, but give the doctor a head that further investigation is necessary. P> The next test for diagnosing the condition is a Pap test. This is done by taking the liquid in the mesothelium lining. Were then analyzed in a laboratory to determine whether malignant cells. This test is now used less often by doctors. Why? It is notoriously inaccurate! P> trials started in earnest. The first is known as a biopsy needle. in this test, a needle is inserted into what appears to be a concern. a small amount of material is removed and sent for laboratory analysis. This is direct evidence of the area, and shows conclusively what happens. If the area in question is not easily accessible to a needle biopsy can be done a complete surgery, when the area is open and a sample. > Strong One of the things that people always complain when it comes to a cancer diagnosis is the lack of a definitive answer. Each test suggests something, but certainly some suggest anything. The frustration is the same for mesothelioma. until you’ve done a biopsy, you never really know if you have this type of cancer. P>
Is millboard friable? I gently rubbed some millboard, at least that is what I thought it was, and was wondering if this easily releases fibers. Anyway, this board is between two chiller vents in an old plant I work in. It may not even be millboard, but it looked like it.
Also, what is millboard used in?

When we continue to sell tobacco that causes more cancer deaths than asbestos? and it’s legal to sell!
If so is there somewhere where I can report a landlord that might be using asbestos?
There are two types of lung cancer: one is called non-small cell lung cancer and then, small-cell lung cancer. these 2 types of cancer are named based on how they appear on a microscope. the first type, NSCLC, rises more slowly than the small-cell lung cancer. these two types of cancer behave differently and need different forms of treatment.
The estimated number of deaths due to lung cancer is 20,500 in Canada and 160,000 in US. the huge risk factor is smoking but other environmental factors, such as air contamination and asbestos, are also participating. Unfortunately, the two year survival rate for this cancer is under 20%.
My home was bulit in 1980. from what I know I’m the 3rd owner. I want to replace the 12″x12″ vinyl tiles in the laundry room. the tiles are worn and damaged, so I am unable to lay new tile on top of existing tile floor. What is the possibility that the existing tiles contain asbestos? Supposedly homes built after 1980 don’t have too worry about this, but with my home having been built in 1980, I not sure I want to test my luck.
