DNR Investigates Asbestos Pipe Dumping in Jefferson County, Missouri
In Jefferson County, Missouri, environmental investigators from the state’s Department of Natural Resources, or DNR, are trying to learn the identity of the person(s) responsible for dumping asbestos water pipe along the banks of Plattin Creek.
Asbestos water pipes were widely used during most of the 20th century to transport drinking water from municipal wells and treatment facilities to residential users. this was true not only in the U.S. but in Europe and other parts of the world as well.
